Four industry experts, each bringing their own unique skill set, have come together to deliver an exceptional culinary experience in boutique catering for events that demand something truly special and out of the ordinary.
Founded by Adam Reid, the renowned Head Chef at The French in Manchester and winner of BBC’s Great British Menu, alongside accomplished chefs Sarah and David Bridge—who have trained and worked at prestigious restaurants such as Gordon Ramsay, Pierre Koffman, and Michel Roux Jr.—they collaborated to create an innovative catering concept that elevates the dining experience. They needed a brand and website that reflected this level of expertise and creativity.
Taste the Art of Food
To start, we introduced a dark and luxurious colour palette, featuring a charcoal grey background to evoke sophistication while allowing content to stand out. Alongside this, we used a minimalist, thin, light typeface to complement the modern, elegant aesthetic of the Swedish brand name, Fóda, which means “nourish.”

Striking Photography: The design emphasizes dramatic, high-quality imagery. Food shots, such as the lobster tail and lemon, are captured in a dark, moody style with deep shadows and rich textures, making the dishes the focal point of the design.
Hero Image: The desktop view features a large hero image of a lobster tail, immediately capturing attention and setting the tone for the site’s premium offerings.
Responsive Design: The layout adapts seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices, ensuring images and content scale appropriately.
Minimalist and Uncluttered Layout: Ample dark “space” surrounds text and imagery, keeping the design clean and directing the user’s attention to key elements.
Simple Navigation: A minimalist hamburger menu in the top-right corner reveals a full-screen, centered menu on mobile, listing links such as Home, About, Gallery, and Contact, reinforcing the clean, modern approach.
Prominent Straplines: Short, impactful text snippets like “SETTING THE STANDARD FOR EVENT CATERING” and “USING ONLY THE BEST BRITISH INGREDIENTS” communicate the brand’s value proposition quickly and effectively.
